Hello Sailor/s!

Well, it's Memorial Day weekend, which means it's everybody's favourite time of year*, "Fleet Week"! This is when hundreds (thousands?) of sailors swarm into New York for a weekend of...well, whatever it is sailors do when they have a weekend off in New York. You may remember that episode of Sex and the City where the ladies go to a nightclub filled with men in uniform - it's standard practice here but a very knowledgable friend told me last night that military men attending gay clubs aren't permitted to go in uniform. I think this is wrong! Who appreciates a man in a sailor suit more than a crowd of gay guys? Madness.

David and I won't be greeting any sailors but we will be welcoming brother Mike who arrives in town tomorrow. Hurrah!
